Looking to address issues with the pelvic floor, incontinence, pelvic or tailbone pain, birth-related issues, during this NON-INVASIVE session with clothing on, techniques are applied externally with confidence to the bony areas where muscles attach. Multiple sessions and homework will be required to attain better pelvic floor health. Please wear stretchy pants. The body’s core is like a balloon, with the diaphragm being at the top, the pelvic floor being the bottom, and abdominal muscles in between. Because we spend our lives “holding things in” (think body functions) at the pelvic level, we often do not have the flexibility in the pelvic floor which is needed for proper function or stability. If the balloon is not extensible on one side, the other areas must compensate, thus creating an oddly shaped and poorly functioning structure. Many dysfunctional pelvic floors are stuck in a chronically tightened position, so can’t get any tighter. By allowing some release to give back the flexibility, it can improve the function of the pelvic floor. The essence of this treatment is to allow more movement of the pelvic muscles, giving your body the flexibility to control muscles in the pelvic floor, and the ability to contract & relax controlling that lower part of the balloon. Please be open to discussing pelvic health during your session (giving birth, episiotomy, birth stitches, fall on tailbone, and other significant pelvic issues).
